The Boy From Oz celebrates the life of one of Australia’s greatest musical exports, singer/songwriter Peter Allen.

The original production of The Boy from Oz had its world premiere at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Sydney on 5 March 1998 and toured Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Todd McKenney starred as Peter Allen and the show went on to have it’s Broadway debut starring Hugh Jackman in 2003.

David begin his professional theatre career in the original Australian production and returned in 2010, starring as Greg Connell – the role he understudied 12 years earlier – in The Production Company’s production in Melbourne. The production again starred Todd McKenney as Peter Allen, Fem Belling as Liza, Christen O’Leary as Judy and it was directed by the celebrated Nancy Hayes.
