The Full Monty

About Production

Directed by Jack O’Brien with choreography by Jerry Mitchell, the musical adaptation of the film had its Australian premiere in Melbourne, 2004.

David starred as Malcolm McGregor with Matt Hetherington (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) as Jerry, Michael Veitch (Comedy Company) as Harold, Rodney Dobson (Les Miserables) as Dave, Paul Mercurio (Strictly Ballroom) as Ethan and Milton Craig Nealy (The Full Monty on Broadway) as Horse – the six unemployed Buffalo steelworkers, low on both cash and prospects, who decide to present a strip act at a local club, overcoming their inner demons and who find strength in their camaraderie.

Although receiving critical acclaim the production closed after just 7 weeks but remains in Australian theatre minds as the show that deserved to have been a great success.
