The show starred Ian Stenlake (Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma) as Sid, Pippa Grandison (Wicked, The Witches of Eastwick) as Babe, Rachel Beck (Beauty & The Beast, Les Miserables) as Gladys and David Harris as the skirt-chasing, union head Prez.
The story deals with labor troubles in a pajama factory, where workers demands for a seven-and-a-half cent raise are going unheeded. In the midst of this ordeal, love blossoms between Babe, the grievance committee head, and Sid, the new factory superintendent.
The Pajama Game marked David’s first production with The Production Company, later going on to star in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Camelot, Damn Yankees and the acclaimed Boy From Oz.
